Everyone in Australia is obsessed with Kmart. Many a shopping trip has ended with needing to pop into Kmart for a “few things” and spending over $100. Raise your hand if that has been you!
A couple of months ago I saw Kmart had offered for sale this awesome laundry container set, consisting of a Wash Jar and a Soak Jar. I must not have been alone in thinking it would be a great storage solution for my laundry room because straight away they sold out in-store and online. With patience as my virtue, I waited for them to come back into stock, which they did. Only to be sold out again!
Annoyed that I couldn’t find the wash jar I was after, I decided to take the matters into my own hands, with my very own Kmart Wash Jar Hack! I purchased a large plain glass jar for $4 from Kmart, with the intention to make my own laundry container. Kmart has really caught onto the Marie Kondo decluttering sensation sweeping the world because their container and storage section is massive and growing. PLUS lots of eco-conscious option (ie: NOT Plastic).
Now, this is where I got to get creative, I had the jar and now I needed the label.
Etsy is my go-to website for all things creative and crafty, and before you know it I found a seller who could send me my very own customised “wash label” in my choice of font and colour for $2.50. Boom!!! So with the click of a button, I ordered my new Laundry Labels and waited patiently for them to arrive. The vinyl label was so easy to apply myself, and in a matter of minutes, I had my new Kmart Hack: Glass Wash Jar completed.
The end result I am so happy with. Not only is it practical but also customised to my own personal taste AND it cost a mere $6.50! I wrap this Kmart Hack up to a big win!
