It’s here… the moment you have been waiting for! The final reveal of my home office space. If you have been following this series over the month of July, you would have seen the work-in-progress of my office space makeover as I brought you each week a different DIY project to help you update your office space (or around the house). I hope you are as excited as I am to see how it all came together, but first I wanted to share a few items that I purchased to help bring the whole concept together.
Black and White Desk
Believe it or not but this desk has been upcycled! I found the most beautiful vinyl laminate and was able to create this AMAZING overall look on a budget. Find out how via my post – The creative way to give new life to an old desk.
Pom-Pom Throw Cushion
I made this pom-pom throw cushion myself and I love it so much. Find out how you too can make this pom-pom throw cushion yourself out of an old t-shirt – details via the link – How to create a throw cushion from your favourite shirt.
The pin board featured is actually made from an old frame I had lying around the house. Find out how I DIY’d this project via a previous post here – How to make a pin board from an old frame.
Office Desk Chair
… And it is bright orange!! I saw this office chair on eBay, as a small business was moving offices and no longer required the chairs (there was a number of them for sale) and I was the lucky bidder to win this chair. This chair only cost $30 which I was very happy to pay, it was in perfect condition and suited the style I had envisioned for my new creative space.
Hanging Wood Frame
If you are yet to jump onboard the hanging-wood-frame-train then you are missing out! This is the cutest and most creative way to display all those gorgeous printed artwork and inspirational quotes. I, of course, was drawn to the teacup and succulents artwork from In the Daylight and ordered this gorgeous frame from their Etsy store. I love supporting local artists via Etsy, so make sure to check them out.
Silver Metal Planter Pot aka Pen Holder
This little cutie I picked up from the Reject Shop for only $2, and I gave it a new job as my pencil holder. I love the embossed metal design on the side, and it suited the home office make-over style perfectly. Not to mention, my millions of pens and pencils now have a handy home.
I hope you enjoyed the DIY: Office Space Makeover Series, and that it has inspired you to make some small changes to your own personal spaces. It can make a big difference when it comes to inspiring your creative side.
